In the introductory essay of their book Art and Archeology, Arnd Schneider and Christopher Wright  reflect on the work of Columbian anthropologist Juan Orrantia who creates visual images using still photography and animation along with sound and image to express the emotions (most often including fear) to memories of past traumatic experiences.

Planning my first blog entry for this website has led me to give greater consideration to the meaning, origin, and value of art as  artifact.
